Our Public Education and Awareness Generation Programme aims to generate discussion and debate, to share information, to influence public opinion and to mobilise public action against gender-based violence. We try to promote consciousness of the fact that violence against women and children is a crime and a violation of their human rights. We work towards breaking the silence around violence against women and girls, and bring the issue out from the private sphere into the public arena. Our effort is to draw as many people from all sections of society to strengthen the struggle for women’s rights. Our programmes are thus aimed at different sections of society including people from the grassroots level, to educational institutions and state institutions.
